Abstract: This session looks at the “flipped classroom”, which is a form of blended learning that uses technology to leverage learning in a classroom, so a teacher can spend more time implementing higher learning skills. Presenters will discuss how to use technology to flip the classroom in a higher education/IEP context, as well as in an online, teacher training context. Presenters will also look at the potential of mobile device based projects to support flipped classrooms. Christine's part: How can content be delivered in a flipped classroom model in an online course? This is the question that Christine addressed when her previous face-to-face teacher training course on Curriculum & Syllabus Design went online (distance). In the presentation Christine will discuss her rationale for using the model, the design, several How-To’s, advantages, and challenges for using a flipped classroom model in an online course. |
